Features: The peony is the national flower of China, embodying elegance, grandeur, and magnificence. It symbolizes the prosperity, happiness, and development of our Chinese nation. Therefore, most people love it. Since ancient times, numerous painters have chosen peonies as their subject, creating countless artistic masterpieces with diverse artistic styles and techniques. I have also chosen this theme, building upon traditional learning while drawing inspiration from various masters. Through extensive and long-term sketching and re-creation, I have spent decades exploring a new painting method for small freehand ink and color peonies. Here, I share some of my humble insights from years of painting to facilitate research and discussion among beginners and fellow artists.
