Features: The Xu Beihong Art College of Renmin University of China is a comprehensive art college integrating fine arts and music. Upholding the tradition of "always staying at the forefront of the times" and "daring to shoulder the mission of the nation," the college carries forward the spirit of Beihong. It has established a philosophy of education that combines aesthetic theory with practice, fine arts with applied arts, and professional art education with public art education. Emphasizing the interactive and mutually promoting relationship between fine arts and music, as well as between art and humanities and social sciences, the college adheres to a direction that is national, scientific, and popular, encouraging the creation of all true, good, and beautiful art forms, as well as the exploration and innovation of teaching methods.
Currently, the college has established three master's degree programs in art history, fine arts, and art design, and is actively preparing for the application of a doctoral program in art history. "No pain, no gain." In 2004, the series exhibition of undergraduate graduation works held by our college received recognition from the Ministry of Education and university leaders, as well as praise from experts and scholars. Now, we have compiled paintings and design works into a catalog in the form of illustrations, with the purpose of two: first, to comprehensively showcase the teaching achievements of fine arts majors; second, to promote exchanges with the art community both domestically and internationally. "The road is long and the journey is arduous, yet I will continue to seek above and below." With unwavering effort, we are moving forward toward the goal of building a world-class art college. Here, we sincerely invite experts, scholars, and friends from all walks of life at home and abroad to offer their valuable insights.
