This work skillfully blends reality and science fiction, easily drawing readers into another world in outer space. In its vivid portrayal of life on this planet, it upliftingly introduces almost unrealistic elements, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. The critique of war, the longing for nature, the attachment to friendship, and the understanding and experience of love endow the work with a three-dimensional emotional space beyond its age. In the language labyrinth set by the author, not only can one enjoy reading, but it also evokes a yearning for youth. The emergence of this work marks that the generation born in the 1980s has begun to focus on the world beyond emotions—nature, society, war, the universe.
This is a science fiction novel. A group of interstellar warriors living on the planet Wuming, are fully dedicated to guarding this strategic fortress, loyal and selfless, even willing to sacrifice their lives. On this planet where only "dusk" can be seen, other life forms cannot survive, and it is shrouded in the shadows of war every day. The warriors, day after day in a state of war defense, are ultimately betrayed by conspiracy and bloodstains the planet of Wuming. The female protagonist was raised by a coach since childhood and gradually realizes that she has developed a feeling for her coach that is both like a brother and like a father, even somewhat like a lover. The novel is filled with a sense of helplessness toward the loss of companions' lives, and a yearning for birds and flowers—essentially a critique of war and a longing for peace.
