Features: On August 2004, when the curtain of the Athens Olympics was slowly drawn, the Associated Press published a quick comment, calling the Greek people an epic welcome ceremony to invite the greatest athletes from around the world to its "Olympic birthday party." At the moment when 72,000 on-site spectators and 4 billion TV viewers from all over the world gathered for the opening ceremony, the elliptical central venue symbolizing the Earth was filled with 10,500 athletes from 202 countries and regions, the whole world seemed to be united here, united in the sacred Olympics. When the little giant Yao Ming held the five-starred red flag, leading the Chinese delegation into the stadium, and the entire audience gave a warm applause to the Eastern dragon, the two ancient civilizations of the East and West clasped hands. From 2004 to 2008, the Olympic spirit was best passed on here. This unity and this inheritance rely on the communication and exchange of language. Based on this, "Towards Beijing Olympics - ABC of Multilingual Conversations" was born. It provides a comparison of nine languages and scripts, including Pinyin, English, French, Spanish, German, Russian, Japanese, Korean, and Arabic, covering Olympic event terminology, Olympic life expressions, Olympic situational dialogues, and Olympic knowledge introductions. It lays the foundation and provides tools for unity, inheritance, communication, and exchange.
