Features: Wu Chuhou, a former official of Hanyang Army, compiled the "Previous Life Stories," including "Beiming Xueshan," "Youyang Qinzhu," "Yutang Xianhua," and "Rongmu Xiantan," among many others. In modern times, there are also "Xianhua," "Xianlu," and "Gui Tian Lu," all of which gather events of the time, primarily to enrich historical records and serve as references. I have never stopped reading since I began my official career, and I also enjoy visiting and interviewing people, so my knowledge and experiences have grown over time. Moreover, I often judge and evaluate events, creating literary works, which I also record to serve as warnings and inspirations. However, the records are disorganized and lack order, so I titled them "Qingxiang Baojì," totaling ten volumes. In the spring of the second year of the Yuanyou era, on the day of Jiayin, I wrote this preface. [1] [1] This preface is only found in the manuscript collection of the Beijing Library. The "Aidai Jingcao Zongji" (Volume 27) records the full text of this preface. It is supplemented here based on the manuscript.
