Features: Generally, learning and practicing calligraphy begins with copying stone inscriptions and rubbings, studying the strokes and structures of model characters to achieve consistency with the original works. However, if one merely copies by comparing, it may gradually become monotonous and lack interest, as if something is missing. How can we make the relatively dull process of copying more diverse and engaging? We have chosen to combine copying with creation, selecting model characters from stone inscriptions and rubbings, arranging them into statements of exemplary moral conduct from generations of sages, and structuring them into various forms of calligraphy works. This approach aims to learn the layout and composition of calligraphy while practicing stone inscriptions, adding more fun, moral refinement, and a sense of achievement to the process. This book combines copying with creation by selecting model characters from stone inscriptions and rubbings, arranging them into statements of exemplary moral conduct from generations of sages, and structuring them into various forms of calligraphy works. The goal is to learn the layout and composition of calligraphy while practicing stone inscriptions, mainly including:
1. Selecting high-quality model characters to avoid repetition of the same characters appearing multiple times in a single work.
2. Using the nine-grid format with strong black-and-white contrast, creating the best conditions for beginners to practice copying.
3. For characters not present in the original stone inscriptions and rubbings, we have adopted imitative writing to maintain consistency with the original style.
4. Each saying is accompanied by a complete calligraphy work, with diverse forms.
5. Each calligraphy work is accompanied by a layout explanation.
