After Grandma Jia passed away, the Jia family was plunged into immense grief. Lady Feng, with her frail body, exhausted herself trying to arrange Grandma Jia's funeral, but due to financial constraints, her efforts were in vain, and she faced blame instead. The Jia family was already in turmoil, with a series of sudden changes: Miaoyu was kidnapped by bandits and her fate remained unknown; Yuanyang committed suicide; Concubine Zhao suddenly fell ill and died in a mysterious and tragic manner; Lady Feng, realizing her deep sins and knowing she had little time left, entrusted Xiaojie to Lao Lao and passed away as well.
Baoyu couldn’t bear the blow of these events and fell ill again. The mysterious bald monk suddenly appeared once more and returned the "Jade of Communication." Upon seeing it, Baoyu immediately recovered as if nothing had happened. His soul then followed the monk once more into the realm of illusion. When he saw the fate scroll of the twelve beauties of Jinling, he instantly grasped its meaning. Baoyu had already seen through the world's illusions and no longer harbored his former foolish and obsessive thoughts, leaving everyone bewildered.
Baoyu spent his days reading books about "detachment from the world," and Baosha still patiently advised him. Unlike before, Baoyu no longer scoffed at the books and suddenly began to study them, preparing to take the imperial exam. Everyone was overjoyed at his transformation.
However, in his heart, a thought had already taken root. Sure enough, after the exam, Baoyu suddenly disappeared, leaving no trace! The entire family was grief-stricken until Jia Zheng received a letter, which revealed that the stone under Qinggang Peak had now fully transformed, and the inscriptions on the stone forest recorded its journey of reincarnation.
Finally, one day, a nameless Taoist monk discovered this stone and copied down the 《》, bringing it into the mortal world. With Cao Xueqin's brush, it was passed down for eternity.
