Features: TOEFL is an English proficiency test for non-native English-speaking students. Currently, approximately 2,400 universities and research institutions in the United States and Canada recognize TOEFL scores as one of the criteria for determining whether international students can be admitted. In Japan, some universities have made courses that cultivate TOEFL preparation skills mandatory, while others have replaced other compulsory subjects with TOEFL scores, making TOEFL performance an important standard for assessing students' English proficiency. Additionally, many companies use TOEFL scores as a benchmark to measure applicants' English abilities. This demonstrates that TOEFL, as a specialized test for assessing English proficiency, is gradually gaining worldwide recognition as an authoritative assessment.
This book is structured in three stages. Stage 1 introduces an overview of TOEFL and TOEFL Reading questions and their test-taking strategies, as well as introduces rapid reading and its training methods. After readers gain a certain understanding of the entire TOEFL exam, especially Part 3, they can proceed to Stage 2 and Stage 3. Stage 2 provides a comprehensive analysis of TOEFL exam questions through 30 short passages, enabling readers to learn how to tackle these Reading questions. The final Stage 3 consists of practice tests. The purpose of these practice tests is to help readers apply the techniques learned in Stage 2 and assess their learning progress.
