Features: Classic authors are the kind you cannot afford to ignore. They help define your relationship with them, even if you have disagreements. Classics are the kind of books people often say, "I'm rereading" rather than "I'm reading." Every rereading of a classic is like a new reading—it's a voyage of discovery. Through reading classics, we find them fresher, more surprising, and more incredible than what we imagined. Classics have a unique influence; they cannot be erased from our minds. They lurk in the layers of our memory, disguised as the collective or individual unconscious. Classics don't necessarily teach us things we didn't know before. In classics, we sometimes discover something we already knew but didn't realize it was first proposed by the author or at least presented in a special way. This is also a great joy that brings us surprise.
