Features: Chinese Marxism and Contemporary Chinese Marxism are consistent in many aspects, such as theoretical principles, ideological methods, and innovative spirit. Many fundamental principles, principles, and scientific methods contained in Mao Zedong Thought still hold important guiding significance for our cause today. At the same time, since Contemporary Chinese Marxism is the inheritance and development of Mao Zedong Thought under new historical conditions, studying Mao Zedong Thought not only enables us to have a comprehensive understanding of the revolutionary and construction cause led by the Party but also allows us to grasp the scientific system, basic content, and especially the living soul of Mao Zedong Thought in a comprehensive and accurate manner. This can also lay a solid foundation for us to study the Theory of Deng Xiaoping and the Important Thought of "Three Represents." Therefore, when the 15th National Congress of the Party established the Theory of Deng Xiaoping as the guiding ideology for the entire Party, Jiang Zemin clearly warned the entire Party, "Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought must not be abandoned; if they are abandoned, the fundamental will be lost." Similarly, when the 16th National Congress of the Party established the Theory of Deng Xiaoping and the Important Thought of "Three Represents" as the guiding ideology for the entire Party, the new Party Constitution adopted at the 16th National Congress listed "Seriously studying Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought" before the study of the Theory of Deng Xiaoping and the Important Thought of "Three Represents," as the primary "duty" that Party members "must fulfill."
