Features: This book is structured around the aforementioned content in terms of its framework, content arrangement, and overall organization. The author attempts to explore the origin of beauty, the emergence and development of art, and the varying influences during the process of artistic evolution, thereby highlighting the social value and objective necessity of art. Specifically, all artists live within a specific social and historical context. Various social factors (including politics, economics, morality, law, religion, philosophy, and science) influence the thoughts, emotions, and wills of artists to varying degrees. In turn, artists experience, practice, and understand social life to varying degrees, thereby creating the creative subject—the artist. The final product of their spiritual production—artworks—are not only the crystallization of the artist's personal cultivation but also the embodiment of the trends and spirit of the times. They directly stem from the artist's aesthetic consciousness and aesthetic creation, and indirectly but ultimately from social life, as Zhang Bo once said, "Learn from nature's creation and find the source within the heart." Third, once artworks are created, they must return to society. Only by being appreciated by society and the public can they realize their value. Throughout history, all enduring artworks have been admired by people. The pursuit of novelty and originality in art is not self-admiring. Fourth, creating and appreciating artworks is essentially an elevation of life.
