Features: This series of books is very innovative and distinctive, helpful for teachers in lectures, useful for students to improve their math scores, and beneficial for athletes in training and competition. The examples selected for the series are highly representative, and the quantity of exercises is well-balanced, making it very suitable for teaching Olympiad math. The language of the books is lively and engaging, catering to children's reading habits; the explanations are clear and easy to understand, stimulating children's enthusiasm and interest. It is believed that the publication of this series will give children and parents a new perspective on the Mathematical Olympiad. The authors of this book are all winners of the Mathematical Olympiad competitions and graduates of renowned institutions. Their experiences themselves serve as great inspiration for children. After years of effort, our series has finally been published. As authors, we were all participants in the Olympic Mathematics competitions back then. Some of us won first prizes in the final rounds of primary school Mathematical Olympiad, medals in the Hua Luogeng Cup Junior Mathematics Invitational, full marks in the National Junior High School Mathematics League, the highest scores in the National High School Mathematics League, gold medals in the National Mathematics Winter Camp, members of the National Training Team, and gold medals in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO).
This series is divided into two parts: "Tutorial" and "Testing." In the "Tutorial" section, each chapter begins with a familiar and beloved story that introduces the central problem of the chapter, skillfully integrating problems and solutions. The reading is easy to understand and highly engaging. After each story, there are 7-8 examples, ranging from simple to advanced, each accompanied by detailed solutions, thought analysis, and guidance, as well as summaries of some pattern-based problems. Each chapter includes after-chapter exercises, and detailed solutions are provided at the end of the book.
The "Testing" section is a companion set of exercises designed to match the tutorial. It is divided into "Synchronous Tests" and "Authentic Tests." The "Synchronous Tests" are designed for each chapter of the tutorial, including classic problems as well as original ones created by us, aiming to provide comprehensive training for students. The "Authentic Tests" include complete sets of past exam papers from major competitions such as the Hua Luogeng Cup, Primary School Mathematical Olympiad, and the Yingchun Cup over the past three years. After studying, readers can thoroughly assess their own level while getting a feel for the atmosphere of competition questions.
In terms of writing, the entire series pays special attention to ensuring that the explanations and problem settings align with the requirements of the "New Curriculum Standards." Teachers can allocate three hours per chapter for instruction, while students can arrange their self-study schedules freely, combining the "Tutorial" and "Testing" sections for learning.
