Features: The 21st century is the era of the knowledge economy, making the demand for innovation more urgent than ever before. This places higher requirements on the quality of every individual. The cultivation of innovative ability and the improvement of overall quality are both inseparable from mathematics. To meet the demands of the new century for talent quality and to provide a training ground and stage for showcasing talents among math enthusiasts, we have collected and organized the mathematics competition questions from national and provincial/municipal junior high schools across China over the past decade. We have selected the most thought-provoking, innovative, and skillful problems, categorized them according to ability requirements, and divided them into four parts: "Topic Analysis," "Foundation Refinement," "Consolidation Practice," and "Expansion and Improvement." This series of books is designed for extracurricular activities and after-school training for students in all grades of junior high school. Considering the needs for applicability and convenience, the books are organized on a daily basis, with a total of 26 lessons per grade, each lesson covering 4 days of training.
"Topic Analysis" primarily summarizes and reviews the content of the lesson. "Foundation Refinement" provides four example problems that cover the key content and main methods and techniques of the lesson, along with four practice problems for imitation. "Consolidation Practice" offers four exercises to deepen and activate the lesson's content from a problem-solving perspective. "Expansion and Improvement" presents four typical problems that may involve knowledge beyond the lesson but can still be solved using the methods introduced in the lesson, demonstrating the comprehensive application of both knowledge and methods.
At the end of the book, reference answers are provided, along with detailed solutions for each problem. We aim to assist everyone in improving their thinking methods and innovative abilities, which is why more than half of the selected problems for each grade focus on introducing thinking methods, highlighting the practical value of applying these methods in knowledge-based topics.
