Liu Bocheng's Military Strategy

Features: When drafting the outline, the author put considerable thought into how to reflect the subtlety of Liu Bocheng's military strategies. After much deliberation, two writing principles were established: First, to maintain a balance between theory and practice, ensuring both necessary theoretical summaries and analyses of actual battle cases, integrating theoretical analysis with case studies. Second, to focus on what is uniquely Liu Bocheng's, fully demonstrating his distinctive approach to warfare, so that readers could immediately recognize it as his work and not something that could be arbitrarily attributed to anyone. Looking back now, these principles seem straightforward, but their implementation was not easy. It can be said that the current manuscript, as it stands, has strived to embody these two principles, though there is still a considerable distance to go. Liu Bocheng's military strategies are vast and profound, and cannot be fully encompassed by a concise ten-thousand-word book like this. It is inevitably incomplete. I have focused on introducing the essence to the readers, but this may merely reflect my subjective. Whether what I have introduced truly constitutes the essence remains to be judged by the broader audience.
