Therefore, I decided to write a vocabulary manual that breaks away from traditional methods. However, once I started, it became an unstoppable passion. From junior high vocabulary to senior high vocabulary, then to university level 4 vocabulary, and finally to university level 6 vocabulary, it took nearly two years to complete this series of "Practice Speaking and Memorize Vocabulary" books.
The series of books dedicated to readers can be considered an innovation in English vocabulary learning. It has the following characteristics:
1. Innovative Concept: Every entry in this series is presented in the form of small dialogues from daily life.
2. Multi-Objective Approach: "Breaking Through Ears, Activating Tongues, and Strengthening Vocabulary" are the three goals of "Practice Speaking and Memorize Vocabulary."
- "Breaking Through Ears" refers to improving listening skills while memorizing words through dictation exercises with dialogues from the accompanying audio cassettes.
- "Activating Tongues" means imitating the pronunciation and intonation in the accompanying audio dialogues. Memorizing each word also involves remembering everyday spoken scenarios, thereby subconsciously enhancing speaking skills.
- Memorizing words is also achieved through dictation and imitation, and with the help of scenarios, not only are words firmly remembered, but their usage in specific contexts becomes second nature.
3. Gradual Progression: This is a step-by-step vocabulary series. Junior high vocabulary includes 1,323 entries, senior high vocabulary includes 1,998 entries, level 4 vocabulary includes 2,473 entries, and level 6 vocabulary includes 2,368 entries.
4. Original Team: All dialogues in this series are created by language experts from English-speaking countries. The choice of English-speaking authors was deliberate, as they not only use authentic English but also reflect the characteristics of English culture in their dialogues. Additionally, all foreign authors have studied Chinese or other foreign languages, giving them firsthand experience in language learning. This ensures that the series' language is vivid and genuine.
This book is accompanied by five audio cassettes, with the price to be determined separately.
