Kobayashi Daisaku and the Japanese Army's "Remnants" in Shanxi

Author: Compiled by the Second Historical Archives of China / Central Archives / Jilin Provincial Academy of Social Sciences

Publishing Date: 2005-03-01
Features: This book is a collection of archival materials. Although the Japanese imperialists, upon their defeat and surrender, burned most of their archival records in China to destroy evidence of their crimes, materials documenting their atrocities still exist in large quantities. This has made it possible for us to dedicate this book to the readers of Wuda. However, due to limited resources, this book can only be presented as a "selection." For the convenience of readers, the book is organized into thematic volumes, covering the "September 18th Incident," the North China Incident, the puppet Manchukuo and Wang Jingwei regime, the repeated major atrocities in Northeast China, the fascist rule of the Manchukuo police and constitution, the scorched-earth campaign in North China, the atrocities of the Japanese army in various places, biological warfare, and economic plunder, among others. The facts reflected in the selected archival materials are mostly events that occurred between 1931 and 1945.
