Features: The content of this volume primarily consists of historical archival materials documenting the economic control and frantic exploitation of various resources and mineral deposits by Japanese imperialism in Northeast China during the puppet Manchukuo period. It includes the economic control policies implemented by the puppet Manchukuo, such as the Five-Year Plan for Industrial Development for War Preparation, the Northern Border Revitalization Plan, and the Million-Household Immigration Plan—these colonial "national policies" that carried out ruthless plunder of material, human, and financial resources, turning Northeast China into a logistics base for expanding aggressive wars. This book is a collection of archival materials. Although Japanese imperialism burned most of its archival records in China upon its defeat and surrender to destroy evidence of its crimes, materials documenting its atrocities still exist in large quantities. This has made it possible for us to dedicate this book to the readers. However, due to limited resources, this book can only be presented as a "selection." To facilitate reader use, the book is organized into thematic volumes. It includes dedicated volumes on the "September 18th Incident," the North China Incident, the puppet Manchukuo and the (Wang Jingwei Regime), the various major atrocities in Northeast China, the fascist rule of the puppet Manchukuo's police and constitution, the Great Scourge in North China, the atrocities of the Japanese army in various regions, biological warfare, and economic plunder. The facts reflected in the selected archival materials are mostly events that occurred between 1931 and 1945.
