Features: Huanggang High School, founded in 1904 in Huanggang, Hubei Province, was designated as a key high school in Hubei Province in 1953 and awarded the title of "Advanced Unit in the National Education System" in 1986. In 2002, it was recognized as an "Advanced Unit in National Spiritual Civilization Construction." Huanggang High School upholds the educational philosophy of "people-centered, morality-based education," forming the distinctive characteristic of "comprehensive development with special talents" and exploring a teaching style of "seeking truth, refinement, novelty, and innovation." Its outstanding performance in college entrance exams and competitions is the inevitable result of its long-term implementation of quality-oriented education, and only one aspect of its abundant teaching achievements. When it comes to cultivating students, what magic formula does Huanggang High School possess? What power does it have to turn sand into a tower? What ability does it have to turn stone into gold? These are questions I often hear. To think that Huanggang High School merely follows the of the college entrance exams and passively engages in test-taking is incorrect. Huanggang High School does not advocate rote memorization or passive problem-solving. If it has any exceptional qualities, it lies in its ability to fully grasp the intentions of test-setters and deeply understand the underlying principles, becoming a leader rather than a blind follower. While Huanggang High School does not oppose teachers immersing themselves in a sea of problems, it strongly advocates for students to break free from it. It opposes students doing mechanical, simple, repetitive, and tedious exercises but requires them to complete necessary ones. We encourage students to tackle flexible, diverse, and widely applicable problems, allowing them to enrich their knowledge, develop skills, and enhance their qualities through the process of problem-solving. If Huanggang High School has any other successes, it is that while cultivating and nurturing a large number of outstanding students, it has also forged a strong team of teachers, creating renowned master teachers in Hubei Province. These teachers possess profound scientific and cultural literacy, innovative educational concepts, unique teaching styles, artistic skills, and abundant teaching achievements. To showcase the talents of Huanggang High School teachers and share their teaching results, we have organized and carefully planned the writing of three series of books: "Huanggang High School Homework Books," "Huanggang High School Exam Papers," and "Huanggang High School 2006 College Entrance Exam First and Second Round Training Questions." The "Huanggang High School Exam Papers" are based on the "Teaching Syllabus" and "Exam Syllabus," highlighting the role of "exams" in students' development of learning ability, problem-solving ability, and exam-taking ability, reflecting the inevitable connection between Huanggang High School students' brilliant performance in various exams and their rigorous daily training. The series also features the following characteristics: 1. Appropriate exercise positioning: In terms of exercise arrangement, this series focuses on consolidating and gradually improving the knowledge points, exam topics, question types, and methods. The positioning of the series is to help students elevate their problem-solving skills through progressive, ability-based, open-ended, applied, and comprehensive exercises. 2. Moderate difficulty gradient: The ratio of basic, intermediate, and difficult questions in this series is 6:3:1, making it suitable for the use of most secondary schools. Additionally, the majority of questions are labeled with A, B, or C to indicate their difficulty levels, with appropriate and clear requirements. 3. Detailed solution hints: The answers at the back of the book are appropriately detailed, with more thorough solutions provided for difficult questions. It is particularly noteworthy that the well-timed hints sometimes play a pivotal role. This series emphasizes the originality and quality of the questions written by the authors, with rigorous review and proofreading at every stage, striving to become a unique gem in the educational supplement market.
