Features: A brand-new perspective on five thousand years of world history. Award-winning Korean comic culture expert Professor Li Yuanhu presents world knowledge through fun and engaging Korean-style comics. Humorous, witty, and captivating comic history serves as a family's cultural and historical read, preparing you for traveling the world! Genghis Khan's Mongol army moved westward, conquering Russia, Poland, and Hungary, marking the first time Europe and Asia confronted each other with force. And what was the result? From then on, Italians began enjoying Chinese noodles! The once invincible Napoleon's army finally met its downfall at Waterloo. The British General Wellington, allied with Prussia, decisively defeated the French at Waterloo. Thus, Britain grew arrogant and demanded a redivision of Europe's map. But fortunes change—soon, British colonies rose in rebellion one after another. Our dining table has become so humble! This fascinating, addictive, and never-heard-of comic history presents the amusing lives of European nations' politics, economy, and culture in the style of a historical drama! Regarding European knowledge, I have already expressed it in multiple books. Among them are Comic World (Western Europe, Central Europe, Northern Europe), Comic World (Eastern Europe, Southern Europe, Small European Countries, EU), as well as The Real European Story and Diagnosis of Modern Civilization, published in 1998. However, the content mentioned in those books was limited to one or a few European countries and did not thoroughly discuss the entire Eastern or Northern Europe. After all, presenting the 40+ European nations in detail to readers is a task even an optimist would find impossible to accomplish in a lifetime! Therefore, I have always been searching for a suitable method to better introduce European countries to all of you. Now, I have finally succeeded—I have found the right method: understanding Europe through its history. Of course, condensing the long history of European nations onto just a few comic pages is indeed a challenge. But in fact, the content of this book is incredibly exciting and comprehensive. It not only includes Europe, which still feels unfamiliar to us, but also systematically records the historical context, national cultures, and historical lessons of these countries. Thus, readers can easily and enjoyably learn about Europe's diverse ethnic groups, the formation of European nations, their unique national identities, cultural differences, and recent hot topics through this book. Europe plays a pivotal role on the international stage. This series closely follows the needs of the times, helping readers further understand European history. From this perspective, this series can also be considered the final edition of the European chapter. This book is suitable not only for primary, middle, and high school students who wish to learn about the world but also for university students who are expanding their horizons and preparing for travel abroad. Additionally, if this book can provide even the slightest assistance to business professionals who have expanded their operations to the global stage, I will feel immensely gratified and proud.
