Features: A beautiful life starts with early education. What can parents give to their children? A single leaf cannot shade their entire life, and a single flower can only bloom for a season. Parents must grow alongside their children, teaching them to be self-reliant, strong, joyful, brave, and to learn to grow in the crowd and to read the sun in life. All of this relies on correct early education. This book is meticulously compiled by education experts, teaching you how to perfectly guide your child's physical development and intellectual growth, so that your child can have a beautiful life. Famous educator Tao Xingzhi believed: Educators are not gods or stone statues; they must create real, good, and beautiful living people. Therefore, early education should be people-centered, emphasizing holistic education, focusing on shaping well-rounded children, and promoting the healthy and harmonious development of children's physical, cognitive, social interaction, imagination, and intelligence. It should also be tailored to the unique characteristics and personalities of children at different stages, assisting in the development of their intelligence. Currently, the importance of early childhood education is recognized and accepted by more and more people. Modern science has proven that the significance of early education for young children is extremely important. Austrian biologist Konrad Lorenz proposed the famous "critical period theory," pointing out that certain skills in animals (including humans) are acquired during critical periods in their early development. American psychologist Benjamin Bloom, through long-term tracking studies, found that 50% of a child's intellectual development is completed by age 4, 30% between ages 4 and 8, and 20% between ages 8 and 17. In other words, the first four years of an individual's intellectual development are equivalent to the sum of the next 13 years. The later education starts, the fewer a child's abilities are realized. It is clear that the early childhood period (0-6 years) is the critical period for the development of instrumental functions in a person's life. Grasping this critical period and developing various functions is of great significance to a child's growth. The Guangzhou Golden Early Childhood Education Training Center is responsible for the national education science "15th Five-Year Plan" project "Research on the Construction of High-Quality School Education," including the sub-project "Research on the Development of Instrumental Functions in 0-6 Year-Old Infants" and "Bilingual Education with Normative Language Leadership." These projects have important theoretical guidance and practical value for the cultivation of children's instrumental functions. To ensure the scientific rigor of the research, the research team selected eight first-class provincial and municipal kindergartens with excellent facilities, strong teaching staff, and strong research and development capabilities as experimental bases for the sub-projects. The research plan was implemented comprehensively and specifically in these kindergartens. Over the long-term research process, the research team and early childhood educators from the experimental bases continuously engaged in self-education and self-development, growing into researchers with research and reflective abilities. At the same time, the research work provided theoretical support and teaching references for the experimental base kindergartens, creating a strong research atmosphere. Those who benefited the most were the children involved. Through the long-term implementation of the two sub-project plans, children's instrumental functions and overall development were enhanced, and their personalities, emotions, and moral character were cultivated. It can be said that these research results contain great educational value and have made positive and effective explorations in early childhood education research in China. "Research and Practice on the Development of Instrumental Functions in 0-6 Year-Old Infants" is a comprehensive summary and further deepening of part of the results of these two research projects. The eight experimental base kindergartens jointly wrote more than 500 research papers, and the research team selected some representative works for editing and publication. These papers include theoretically profound research reports, highly practical experience papers, and case studies with reference value. They are all presented here to early childhood educators and young parents, hoping to inspire and benefit them, thereby contributing to the development of early childhood education research and teaching practice. The field of early childhood education is an endless treasure trove; the broader the world of children, the broader our research. The essence of education is to nurture people, and the essence of early childhood education lies in respecting children's developmental patterns, guiding them according to their tendencies, teaching them according to their individualities, and promoting their comprehensive and harmonious development to provide them with a good start in life.
