Features: During college, Tong Fang and I read this poem by Hai Zi. We believed that one truly begins to understand the world only after experiencing self-exile both physically and mentally. Thus, we planted the seed of "wandering" in our hearts — exploring the world through books and wandering across China with our own feet! Unexpectedly, before we could realize our dream of "wandering China," we had "traveled" across the United States with a car. The author drove across the 48 contiguous states of the U.S., covering a total of 60,000 miles. Upon returning to China, she edited and produced a 23-episode television series titled We Traveled Across America, which garnered widespread attention after its broadcast. In Crazy Journey Across America, the author presents a comprehensive panorama of the U.S. with more detailed descriptions and stunning images.
