Features: This book is one of the "Practical Teaching Materials for Broadcast and Film Engineering Technicians," primarily used for training in-service engineering technicians in China's broadcast and film systems. It can also serve as a professional reference book for university undergraduates and college students in related fields, as well as for distance education students. The content is divided into three parts. Part 1 (i.e., the first part) is the Basic Theory Section, consisting of 3 chapters. It mainly introduces the development of television editing and program production technology, basic classifications, and related characteristics. It covers the concepts and working principles of linear editing, nonlinear editing, nonlinear networks, video switchers, and digital effects. Additionally, it explains the basic concepts and principles of studio program production systems, electronic field production systems, and digital effects, as well as the composition and characteristics of studio program production systems, electronic field production systems, high-definition television production systems, and virtual studio production systems. The second part (i.e., the second part) is the Practical Technology Section, consisting of 5 chapters. Due to the strong practical nature of television editing and program production, this section occupies a significant portion of the book. The television program production process includes both artistic creation and technical processing. The third part (i.e., the third part) is the Performance Measurement Section, which primarily introduces the adjustment principles and specific debugging methods of image, vector, and waveform monitoring measurements related to digital television program production systems. It also discusses subjective evaluation and objective measurement methods for digital image quality. During the writing process of this book, efforts were made to ensure clear concepts, up-to-date content, and strong practicality. To help readers review and consolidate their knowledge, thinking and exercise questions are provided at the end of each chapter.
