Features: The Catalogue and Interpretation of Gold Inscriptions from the Two Zhou Dynasties by Guo Moruo is a groundbreaking work in the study of bronze artifacts and inscriptions, offering immense reference value for researching gold inscriptions of the Zhou Dynasty. In 1932, the author compiled The Systematic Collection of Gold Inscriptions from the Two Zhou Dynasties, which was published in facsimile by the Japanese Bunqiu Publishing House. Later, after revision and supplementation, it became The Catalogue and Illustrations of Gold Inscriptions from the Two Zhou Dynasties, published by the Sanlian Bookstore in 1934. Subsequently, a reference atlas of bronze artifacts from the Two Zhou Dynasties was created. Another work, The Catalogue and Interpretation of Gold Inscriptions from the Two Zhou Dynasties, was published by the Japanese Bunqiu Publishing House in 1936. In 1957, as volume 3 of the Archaeological Monographs of the Institute of Archaeology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the two books were combined under the title The Catalogue and Interpretation of Gold Inscriptions from the Two Zhou Dynasties, published by Science Press. The illustrations included in this volume are from the Catalogue and Interpretation of Gold Inscriptions from the Two Zhou Dynasties, comprising the Illustrated Catalogue and the Recorded Catalogue. The Illustrated Catalogue focuses on the forms of artifacts, while the Recorded Catalogue focuses on the inscriptions. We have conducted collation, annotations, supplemented some rubbings, and replaced the original unclear photographs and rubbings.
