On stage, her spins are not just dance but also the expression of her soul. Jin Xing was born in 1968. At the age of 9, she joined the Shenyang Military Region's Advanced Song and Dance Troupe. In 1985, she pioneered male pointe dance and won a special excellence award at the second National Dance Competition. In 1987, she participated in the modern dance experimental class of Guangdong Dance School and went to the United States for studies the following year. In 1990, she performed at the American Dance Festival and was awarded the title of "Best Choreographer." In 1992, she became a professor at the Royal Conservatory of Dance in Belgium and founded the Bai Feng Modern Dance Company in Belgium. In 1993, she returned to China and later founded the Beijing Modern Dance Company. In 1995, she underwent a gender transition surgery at the Plastic Surgery Department of Beijing Medical University. In 1997, she starred in the play "Breaking an Arm."
