Features: The Central Conservatory of Music External Music Examination began in 1988. The cello examination started in 1992 and has been in place for 12 years, playing a positive role in promoting and improving cello teaching in China. While keeping the original two sets of examination pieces for levels to 8 unchanged, the curriculum has been expanded by adding a third set of pieces. Level 9 retains the original four sets of pieces. The Performance Diploma level includes three sets of pieces. From Level 3 to the Performance Diploma level, each grade includes large-scale works (sonatas, concertos, suites). To facilitate teaching, the examination textbooks published this time include all movements of multi-movement pieces and indicate which movements are selected for the examination. In regular teaching, students should study the entire content of each piece to enhance their musical knowledge and cultivation. During the examination, only the designated movements are performed.
