Features: To further improve labor laws and regulations, China has introduced several new labor laws and regulations in recent years. Within the months following the publication of this book, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress passed the amended "Labor Law of the People's Republic of China" on October 27, 2001, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress passed the "Work Safety Law of the People's Republic of China" on June 29, 2002, the State Council issued the "Work-related Injury Insurance Regulations" on April 27, 2003, and the "Labor Security Supervision Regulations" on November 1, 2004. The Ministry of Labor and Social Security has successively issued a series of labor security regulations: the "Administrative Supervision Measures for Social Insurance Fund" (May 18, 2001), the "Administrative Dispute Resolution Measures for Social Insurance" (May 27, 2001), the "Interim Standards for Assessing the Degree of Disablement Due to Industrial Accident or Illness of Employees" (April 5, 2002), the "Provisions on Collective Contracts" (January 20, 2004), and the "Minimum Wage Regulations" (January 20, 2004). To improve and strengthen the handling of labor dispute cases, the Supreme People's Court issued the "Interpretation on Several Issues of Applying Laws in Adjudicating Labor Dispute Cases" on April 16, 2001, and the "Interpretation on Several Issues of Applying the 'Labor Law of the People's Republic of China' in Civil Adjudication Work" on January 9, 2003. To reflect these legislative achievements and the new development trends, we have revised and supplemented this book.
