Features: For every child, school exam scores are not important; what truly matters is cultivating their interest in learning and the ability to think and solve problems through education. As the old saying goes, "Three years determine a lifetime." Child psychology research has found that the age of 0–13 is the best period for memory in their lives. During this time, their ability to absorb knowledge is as strong as a sponge. If you give them classics, they will absorb them deeply into their hearts. As they grow older, the essence of these classics will gradually ferment within them, and from then on, "walking alongside the classics and associating with the sages" will permeate their entire lives! Classics are works that awaken human nature, capable of opening people's wisdom! They can penetrate the deepest parts of a person's soul, cultivating an elegant temperament and a kind and virtuous character! Classical Chinese, also known as literary language, is the language used in most classics, refined and elevated over thousands of years into a beautiful, concise, and precise language. In the long history of China's five thousand years of civilization, the classics that have endured to this day are the Five Classics, the Histories, the Philosophies, and the Anthologies, which contain a wealth of idioms, allusions, ethics, humanities, history, etiquette, and cultural norms. Under the influence of these classics, children will naturally exude an elegant aura from the inside out, becoming knowledgeable, polite, open-minded, and greatly enhancing their learning ability. For the convenience of children's recitation, teachers and parents can explain them when needed. This book is based on the annotations and commentaries of the "Ruan's Thirteen Classics" and incorporates various versions, after careful research, interpretation, and phonetic annotation. It adopts a novel and exquisite layout design that is suitable for both children and adults: large fonts that won't strain the eyes, easy-to-read pinyin, eye-catching two-color phonetic annotations, helpful explanations, and illustrations to cultivate interest, as well as audio recordings to make learning enjoyable through listening. China has long had a saying: "Reading Zeng Guang makes one eloquent, and reading You Xue prepares one for the world." Even the great leader Mao Zedong could recite You Xue Qiong Lin from memory, showing its immense influence. You Xue Qiong Lin was originally compiled by Deng Ji in the Ming Dynasty, originally titled You Xue Xun Zhi, and also known as Idiom Examination and Story Source. Later, it was supplemented by Zou Shengmai of the Qing Dynasty and renamed You Xue Qiong Lin, also called You Xue Story Qiong Lin. The word "Qiong Lin" in the title has two meanings: First, it originates from the Qiong Lin Treasury, one of the imperial vaults during the Tang Emperor Dezong's reign, symbolizing the book's rich collection of allusions, making it a treasure trove of classical knowledge. Second, it comes from the Qiong Lin Garden of the Song Dynasty, where emperors held banquets for new imperial graduates. Later, "Qiong Lin" came to represent passing the imperial examinations, symbolizing the importance of diligent study for students to achieve success early. You Xue Qiong Lin integrates knowledge related to daily life, such as astronomy, geography, historical figures, classical texts, systems, birth and death, marriage and funeral customs, birds, animals, plants, court systems, and literary affairs and imperial examinations, making it a comprehensive and all-encompassing work. It is the most influential and well-composed textbook in ancient Chinese primary education, often regarded as an encyclopedia of ancient China.
