Features: This book employs the level analysis method of international relations theory to analyze the international roots of hegemonic decline. On this basis, it takes the post-Cold War NATO strategy of the United States as a case study and uses empirical methods to test the hypotheses proposed. It also critiques and supplements the hypothesis of hegemonic protection in the book "Hegemonic Systems and International Conflict." It is truly moving to see someone read my work so seriously, raise such serious questions, and elaborate on different meanings. Academia thrives on skepticism, develops through debate, innovates through originality, and stands firm through verification. Popper's discussion on problems and conjectures advocates for skepticism and innovation, while Hu Shi's saying "boldly hypothesize, carefully verify" emphasizes the spirit of scholarship. Although Dr. Piqi's work still has areas open for debate, I value his bold skepticism and challenging spirit and appreciate his rigorous and serious empirical verification. I sincerely hope to contribute even a small stone to the foundation of international relations theory in China, and it is undoubtedly the younger generation that holds the hope of establishing China's school of international relations.
