This collection comprehensively showcases the formation process of Professor Huang Da's academic thought, reflecting the scholarly views and theoretical analyses he proposed during different historical periods. Professor Huang Da's academic contributions primarily include:
First, elucidating the fundamental principles of money, credit, and banking in the classic works of Marxism,
Second, introducing theories on money, credit, and banking from the Soviet economic academia, and, based on borrowing, pioneering the study of monetary and banking theories in China. For example, regarding the scope of monetary circulation, at a time when only cash was considered money, he argued that the sum of cash and deposits constituted the total money supply in the national economy, and the movement of cash and deposits formed a unified monetary circulation corresponding to commodity circulation. On the issue of the relationship between bank credit and monetary circulation, he believed that in China's real economy, monetary circulation is based on bank credit, and the expansion and contraction of bank loans directly regulate the money supply in circulation.
Third, systematically researching China's fiscal and financial theories by absorbing and comparing modern Western financial theories, establishing a fiscal and financial theoretical system that suits China's actual conditions. In the book Problems of Socialist Finance and Credit, written in 1979, he broke with traditional conventions by dedicating a chapter to "Money and Prices," analyzing the connections and differences between monetary circulation stability and price stability. The book Introduction to the Comprehensive Balance of Finance and Credit, published in 1983, summarized his years of research on China's fiscal and financial issues, marking the establishment of his comprehensive balance theory of finance and credit.
Fourth, actively promoting the development of financial education in China. Professor Huang Da is a leader in the field of finance, having for decades undertaken tasks related to the construction of key disciplines by the Ministry of Education. He organized the writing of textbooks such as Money and Banking and Finance, which have long been regarded as classics in higher education's financial disciplines and are widely favored by both teachers and students.
The "Collected Works of Huang Da" is a set of financial books with high academic and historical value, serving as an excellent vehicle for inheriting and advancing the research and development of China's financial theories and discipline construction. As a specialized publisher under the People's Bank of China, China Financial Publishing House has, for many years, adhered to the goal and philosophy of "building financial brands and publishing high-quality books and periodicals," publishing a large number of outstanding financial theoretical works and earning widespread acclaim from both the economic and publishing communities. The publication of the "Collected Works of Huang Da" is another new initiative by the financial publishing house to disseminate and promote advanced financial culture and implement its strategy for high-quality publishing.
