Features: Fashion criticism holds a unique position in the fashion industry. On one hand, the creation of aesthetic appreciation requires distance—both spatial and psychological. As critics of fashion, one should maintain a relatively detached attitude. Too many biases or tendencies can make readers lose trust. On the other hand, fashion columnists or editors of fashion publications should be well-versed in fashion, becoming insiders of the fashion world. Otherwise, "the ignorant enlightening the wise" applies—outsiders' reviews won't be taken seriously. To maintain a balanced stance is indeed challenging.
