Features: This book compiles some of the most exquisite traditional floral patterns from China's traditional floral designs. Some of these patterns were collected by me during long-term teaching and artistic research, when I visited museums, cultural centers, temples, stone carvings, archaeological sites, and rural areas across various provinces and cities in the motherland. Some were copied from actual artifacts, while others were traced. Some artifacts were in such poor condition that they were broken beyond repair, some patterns were blurry, some were buried in mud pits, some had been used as chicken coops, and some were on the verge of disappearing. Especially in the Mogao Caves of Dunhuang, there is a magnificent mural from the Tang Dynasty that depicts vividly lifelike figures, with clothing adorned with exceptionally intricate patterns, even the designs on the collars and cuffs were meticulously crafted to match their shapes. These patterns include over ten types of handicraft works such as ceramics, gold and silver wares, silk, architectural murals, brick and stone carvings, wood carvings, lacquerware, embroidery, folk printing, and paper-cutting.
