Features: This book differs significantly from contemporary domestic and international industry textbooks and has the following characteristics:
First, it establishes a relatively complete framework system. The book is divided into three parts: Macro, Meso, and Micro, exploring the principles, measures, and methods of management ethics from the perspectives of government behavior, organizational behavior, and individual behavior. These three aspects are as follows:
Macro Part: Management Ethics under Government Regulation and Social Role. From the government's perspective, the political, economic, and legal systems it formulates, as well as the country's economic system and management model, play a fundamental role in constraining corporate management ethics. From a societal standpoint, its market systems, competition rules, private property, and public policies also impose constraints on corporate management ethics.
Meso Part: Organizational Behavior and Management Ethics. Building on an analysis of the dimensions and diverse backgrounds of management ethics, this part explores management ethics in production, marketing, human resources, and international operations.
Micro Part: Personal Ethics and Moral Audit. We primarily examine individual ethical decision-making models, the leadership styles of ethical managers, and ethical codes and moral audits based on ethical planning.
Second, it incorporates the research achievements of contemporary scholars on ancient Chinese management thought. In the field of ancient Chinese management ethics, it provides an in-depth exploration of the management ethics of Confucianism, Taoism, and the Military School.
Third, it includes classic management ethics cases with significant contemporary impact. These cases feature the experiences and lessons of well-known companies such as Enron, Boeing, Microsoft, and Barings Bank in terms of management ethics. For MBA students with management practice experience and college students preparing to enter management positions, studying, researching, and discussing these cases will be extremely beneficial. During the compilation of these cases, we have noted all the sources of quoted and referenced materials. However, for some cases, such as those of Enron, Boeing, and Microsoft, due to the excessive number of referenced documents, it was not possible to list them all. We extend our gratitude to the material providers and information sources.
Fourth, it broadens the scope of ethical thinking. Through lively and diverse formats such as "Ethical Anecdotes," "Ethical Express," and "Ethical Proverbs," we aim to open multiple windows for users to explore the real-world of ethics and provide a multi-dimensional perspective on ethical dilemmas.
Fifth, it designs interactive teaching methods such as group discussions, classroom debates, online resource collection, and industry association feedback, striving to make the teaching of "Management Ethics" an open and interactive model.
