Features: Kam is one of the oldest musical traditions of the Uyghur people, including the Twelve Muqam, Dolang Muqam, Turpan Muqam, Hami Muqam, and others. Among them, the Dolang Muqam is considered the most vibrant form of Uyghur Muqam and is widely spread in Karghilik County, Bachu County, and Awat Prefecture in Xinjiang. Its melodies are high-pitched, reflecting the local people's love for life and their resilient, unyielding spirit. As a crystallization of Eastern and Western cultures, the Dolang Muqam holds unique historical and social-cultural value. This scientific work includes academic papers, musical scores, and numerous color photographs, CDs, and other materials. Compared to previous research, this work for the first time incorporates many images depicting ecology, social life, and musical performances, for the first time uses multi-voice score-style staff notation to transcribe the "Dolang Muqam," for the first time employs advanced technology for pitch measurement, and for the first time fills in the original lyrics with international phonetic symbols below the musical scores.
