Features: As a part of Chinese culture, Northeast culture exists due to its unique characteristics, which are not only stored in words but also reflected in the structure of the words themselves. This Dictionary serves as a tool for studying Northeast culture. In recent years, local literature has flourished, and the large Dictionary has also selected some sub-dialect words buried deep in the language, hoping that this Dictionary can be practically useful for word selection in the creation of local literature. This Dictionary collects dialect words popular in the three provinces of Northeast China, with Heilongjiang and Jilin as the main focus, followed by Liaoning. Some words are extracted from magazines, storybooks, operas, and novels with Northeastern local flavor (a total of over two hundred types), while others are directly taken from (mainly rural) spoken language, with a total of 7,500 entries. The principles for selecting words are divided into two major ones. The basic spirit of the major principle is that words that are not Northeastern dialect words in both the Modern Chinese Dictionary and the Chinese Dictionary are not included in this Dictionary. In other words, this Dictionary claims some words marked with an asterisk in the Modern Chinese Dictionary.
