Features: When it comes to plants, we are often reminded of the bizarre world in the primitive forests; the mystery and rich subtropical plants of Xishuangbanna; the dense, layered forests of the Amazon River Basin; and the strange plants of the African wilderness. It is commonly believed that one of the characteristics distinguishing art from science is that art expresses the general through the typical and the common through the individual. This means that for art designers, possessing sharp observation skills and the ability to discover the regular patterns of beauty among the many general things is essential. As decorative art workers, when we immerse ourselves in the decorative variations of a single leaf and take pride in completing each creation, we may not realize that nature has already encompassed all these patterns of beauty. When we dedicate our lives to exploring the language of decorative art, we find that these patterns are abundant in the natural world. Would we not be filled with awe? Therefore, we must learn from nature and seek inspiration in life. No wonder French fashion design master Pierre Cardin still travels around the world twice a year to gather inspiration. Rodin's sculptures are inseparable from the beauty of the human body; performing artists must convey the inner world of a character through external behaviors to reach the highest realm of art—expressing the soul.
