This six-year primary school writing training workbook is compiled according to the requirements of the "Teaching Syllabus for Full-Time Primary School Chinese Language Education" issued by the State Education Commission, combined with teaching practices. The entire workbook is divided into 12 volumes, providing semester-based use for primary school students from first to sixth grade.
2. Content and Approach
All writing exercises in the workbook are sourced from the primary school Chinese language textbooks published by the People's Education Press, closely aligning with teaching practices and fully synchronized with the curriculum. The writing exercises combine tracing and copying. Each volume is divided into two main parts: Character Recognition (including vocabulary) and Writing Practice, serving as (complementary practice workbooks) for character recognition and writing instruction.
3. Character Recognition (including vocabulary) Part
Each volume of the workbook includes characters from the corresponding lesson in the Chinese language curriculum, with phonetic annotations (tone marks omitted for lightly pronounced words in compound words), word formation, and stroke order exercises (some volumes include stroke order practice). This comprehensive approach helps students master the pronunciation, form, and meaning of characters, enabling them to write them correctly and aesthetically while enriching their vocabulary. After each unit's character exercises, there are blank lines for teacher review and student corrections.
4. Writing Practice Part
According to the Teaching Syllabus for Chinese Language Education, writing practice is divided into pencil writing, ballpoint pen writing, and brush calligraphy. The arrangement follows the principles of Chinese character writing, progressing from basic to advanced levels, helping students master the techniques of strokes, radicals, structure, and composition. The content for pencil and ballpoint pen writing is based on the "Basic Training" and "After-Class Exercises" sections of each textbook, as well as passages and texts requiring memorization and recitation, ensuring synchronization with teaching. Basic writing knowledge is systematically compiled and planned for training across the volumes. Additionally, according to the Teaching Syllabus, the sixth-grade volume includes (moderate running script calligraphy practice) to improve writing speed. For brush calligraphy, students practice through tracing, filling outlines, imitating, and copying, enabling them to write characters correctly, neatly, and beautifully at each grade level.
