Features: With the promulgation of the new "English Curriculum Standards," the reform of English teaching in secondary schools has entered a new stage, raising the requirements for students' knowledge, communicative competence, cultural awareness, and other aspects to a new level. Extracurricular reading is no longer just an optional supplement to classroom teaching but has become an indispensable part of English learning. The series is compiled under the guidance of the "New Curriculum Standards" and has the following main features:
1. In terms of overall design, it is written according to the "New Curriculum Standards" for graded levels, making it highly targeted. The number of books increases progressively across levels, fully meeting the reading needs of middle school students at different stages.
2. In terms of material selection, it highlights personalized features, choosing topics with a sense of the times and rich content based on the different reading interests of students at different age groups. This helps students expand their knowledge while fulfilling the reading tasks set by the "New Curriculum Standards" and cultivating cross-cultural communication awareness.
3. In terms of difficulty level, it balances the improvement of abilities with the cultivation of reading interest and confidence, creating a relaxed learning environment for students.
4. In terms of learning strategy guidance, it compiles reading skill guides for each book based on the requirements of the "New Curriculum Standards" for each level, guiding students to develop good learning habits.
5. In terms of exercise design after each unit, it emphasizes flexibility, openness, and participation, combining reading, speaking, and writing to stimulate students' imagination and creativity, helping them fully meet the various requirements of the "New Curriculum Standards."
