Features: This study is based on the major decision of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Provincial Government to "further leverage the advantages of coordinated urban-rural development in Zhejiang and accelerate the integration of urban and rural areas." It conducts research on the urban-rural integrated water supply and drainage system in Zhejiang Province. Addressing the drawbacks of separate construction and differential development of urban and rural water supply and drainage systems in Zhejiang Province, this study analyzes the current issues of water resources, urban-rural water supply and drainage, and urban-rural water conservation through in-depth investigations and extensive thematic research. With coordinated urban-rural development as the premise, guided by the scientific outlook on development, and driven by innovative thinking, it proposes ideas, principles, and goals for advancing urban-rural integrated water supply and drainage. It pioneers the concept of an urban-rural integrated water supply and drainage indicator system, and subsequently proposes the spatial framework system for urban-rural integrated water supply and drainage in Zhejiang Province, the urban-rural water shortage index in Zhejiang Province, the urban-rural water demand forecast index, the urban-rural water conservation potential analysis and countermeasures, and the supporting measures for advancing urban-rural integration. Targeted countermeasures are proposed for typical water-deficient cities in different regions. This book can serve as a reference for water supply and drainage management personnel and technicians, as well as for students and teachers in relevant fields.
