Features: In recent years, the question formats of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) listening section have evolved from simple to complex, from general to specific, and from broad listening to detailed comprehension. The number of words beyond the examination criteria, especially those in repeated dialogue, has increased. Questions requiring comprehension and accurate understanding of detailed statements have also risen. The selection of questions has become more similar, the differentiation of diagrams has decreased, and the difficulty of judgment has increased. Currently, some candidates with approximately three to four years of professional Japanese study achieve an average score of only 50-60 in the Level 1 listening exam, while general non-professional test-takers perform even worse. Clearly, the listening exam has become a major challenge for candidates. This series is not an academic monograph on Japanese grammar but a set of targeted grammar guides for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. It compiles the authors' teaching insights from daily instruction, providing accurate and detailed explanations of frequently occurring grammatical phenomena in the JLPT, supported by example sentences. The purpose of this series is to explain and analyze grammatical phenomena found in questions across different levels, enabling candidates to systematically master the necessary grammatical structures, sentence patterns, and vocabulary within a shorter period.
