Features: This is a must-read photo essay collection. It features the most charming celebrities in China with both practical and idol-like qualities; for the first time, they reveal little-known emotional secrets, with real-life photography taken on-site in Russia; for the first time, they confess the ups and downs of their ten-year artistic journey.
How far is the word from a person's heart? I don’t know. I only know that when I wrote these words, I was trying to recall and record the things that had once flashed through my life. They could be events, people, or fleeting feelings—Lu Yi.
This book is set against the backdrop of Russian photography and uses the first-person perspective to frankly disclose the behind-the-scenes story of his "overnight fame" as an artist and his little-known emotional life. The book avoids superficial wording, with simple yet sincere language and smooth narration. It also includes a large number of highly exotic personal photos, making the text and images complement each other and showcasing the unique charm and talent of a Chinese idol star in the new century.
When I decided to write these words, I didn’t know if I could complete the manuscript well. Because the seven-day journey to Russia, perhaps due to the nostalgic feelings it evoked, felt more like a journey of the heart to me. As the memories of ten years ago were flipped through page by page, many people and things I thought I had forgotten suddenly became exceptionally clear. Yet my emotions could only be described as "complicated," and I was weighed down by this "complication" throughout the process.
Finally, on the last day, I told my fellow friends, "I want to write something." Although I had no confidence in my writing skills at that moment, I instinctively felt that something was too heavy in my heart, and I had to find an outlet. So, what you might see is a fragmented narrative where time, characters, and events are constantly interwoven, because only when you truly sit down to write do you realize how fast your thoughts can run.
I can’t ask myself to think rationally about the style of the article like a writer, so I might as well let my thoughts run freely and invite you to join me on this journey.
