Features: In the process of learning sketching, still-life drawing is an indispensable part. It helps students observe the relationship between simple geometric shapes and different objects. Through various exercises, students practice different lighting, textures, and perspectives. It allows students to further understand the use of soft pencils and hard pencils. As a common exam topic in many schools today, still-life drawing is particularly important for students preparing for the college entrance examination. It is not only a technical training but also a cultivation of awareness, such as: expressing the relationship between forms, the black-and-white composition in the composition, and the expression of the fun and uniqueness of the picture. These are another aspect that will be tested in the college entrance examination, and they are also aspects that many candidates lack and overlook. Therefore, students should consciously cultivate this ability during practice. The assignments selected in this book are from first and second-year students' classroom work. From the assignments, we can see that they practice with different emphases according to the teacher's requirements. These assignments are mostly realistic. As first-year students, we require them to first have a certain foundation in realism, and on this basis, we encourage them to give full play to their individuality and pursue their own interests, so that they can lay a solid foundation for their future painting studies. Learning sketching is a process from simple to complex. Especially in the final stage, many students cannot make significant progress. Analyzing the reasons, it is mostly because they did not study one part seriously in the early stage, which affected their progress in the later stage. And still-life drawing is a prominent part, so through this book, we hope to provide a learning model for candidates to improve their painting skills and smoothly pass the art college entrance examination.
