Features: The entries in this dictionary are arranged in alphabetical order according to English letters. If the first letters are the same, they are arranged by the second letter, and so on. Each entry includes phonetic symbols, part of speech, definitions, example sentences, and translations. Some entries have inflected forms and phrases. Each entry and its synonyms are bolded. If the definition section has two or more different meanings, they are separated by semicolons; if there is only one meaning, it is separated by commas. The listed synonyms and their order are arranged in alphabetical order. If there are two or more synonyms with different parts of speech, they are listed separately while maintaining their original order. The selected entries and their parts of speech are represented in English abbreviations: n. for noun, v. for verb, a. for adjective, ad. for adverb. To help students and quickly expand their vocabulary in a short period, overcome obstacles in English learning, and achieve twice the result with half the effort, we compiled this dictionary. By recognizing or familiarizing oneself with an English word, one can quickly expand to several related or similar English words, aiming to achieve the effect of learning from one example and applying it to others. During the compilation process, we primarily considered the following: 1. The hierarchy of word selection. In selecting words, we first prioritized commonly used words, followed by advanced words, often introducing one or more challenging words based on a general term. At the same time, we also considered readers with higher English proficiency, providing them with a certain number of specialized words to reflect the hierarchy in word selection. 2. The reliability of example sentences; when compiling example sentences, we referred to original foreign dictionaries and authoritative domestic dictionaries to ensure the reliability and authority of the sentences. 3. The connection between words; to help readers memorize words more effectively, this dictionary emphasizes the connection between words. For example, when selecting a noun, we also include its verb, adjective, and other forms to provide more information within the limited space.
