Features: Remember that year, I came alone from the north across the sea to Taiwan. A classmate I hadn’t seen since elementary school helped me buy a ticket and see me off. He also me to store the little money and camera I carried with me in a ship’s courier after boarding, to avoid the chaos of “too many hands in the cabin.” That courier, in fact, was a complete stranger to me. I entrusted all my “property” to him. When I got off the ship, I retrieved everything in full, never once feeling the slightest bit of suspicion—how joyful! If it were today, I might overthink it and prefer to carry the little money I had for survival with me. I might even ask for a receipt in a very unpleasant way, perhaps even demanding a guarantor. Even if I reluctantly stored the money with him, I would have been on edge the entire journey, unable to eat or sleep peacefully, let alone enjoy the carefree mood of playing chess or cards with fellow passengers on the deck, reading, or singing!
