Features: The reportage writer He Jianming, who has been widely acclaimed by readers for his long-form reportages such as Tears Are Gold, China's Gaokao Report, and Fear Without Love, has recently presented another masterpiece in reportage—Fundamental Interests, which has once again sparked strong social response. This long-form reportage authentically depicts the heart-stirring story of Comrade Liang Yurun, a Discipline Inspection Commission member who steadfastly practices the Important Thought of "Three Represents,", and portrays the spiritual realm and demeanor of the Communist Party of China in the new century and new era, as they adhere to the Important Thought of "Three Represents" and work diligently for the comprehensive rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Through the actions of this Communist Party member, readers will see how the Important Thought of "Three Represents" is deeply rooted in the hearts of the broad Communist Party members and has become their guiding principle for governing for the people. The literary critics have paid special attention to the publication of this long-form reportage. Some critics have said that this work has successfully portrayed the image of an outstanding Communist Party member, and it is both timely and highly significant. The idea of our Party's keeping pace with the times, maintaining its advanced nature, and governing for the people is precisely reflected in the efforts of these ordinary Party members and has been deeply welcomed by the broad masses of the people. In this sense, the image of Liang Yurun is the result of contemporary Communist Party members' adherence to Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, and Jiang Zemin's Important Thought of "Three Represents." Our literature must strive to promote the main theme of the era and shape the heroic figures of the times, offering the people more and better spiritual nourishment and providing them with spiritual strength.
