Features: The classic story of Journey to the West praises Sun Wukong's spirit of fearlessness against tyranny, intelligence, bravery, and perseverance. Additionally, it upholds the fairy-tale style of the original work. Whether it's the 72-transformations of Sun Wukong, the lazy and gluttonous Zhu Bajie, or the gods and demons each showcasing their supernatural powers, all are filled with magical fantasy colors. Opening Journey to the West, the vivid, rhythmically brisk cartoon animations, the simple yet vivid and highly personalized character designs, and the tightly connected, rich, and dynamic plotlines all make it impossible not to smile with joy. More importantly, with the help of colorful illustrations, the book vividly presents the deified characters and environmental descriptions from the original text to young readers: Sun Wukong in the Flower Fruit Mountain Cave, Red Boy in the Fire Cloud Cave of the withered pine gully, and the Black Fish Demon under the frozen Tongtian River. All of this sparks strong curiosity in young readers, stimulates their boundless imagination, and fully guides them in understanding the essence of Journey to the West, thereby fostering their interest in reading the original work in the future.
Scene: Battle with Red Boy
That day, Tang Monk and his disciples entered a deep mountain. The air was filled with eerie breezes and demonic aura. Suddenly, they heard someone shouting for help. Following the sound, they found a child tied up and hung on a tree. Tang Monk quickly asked Zhu Bajie to free the child and even offered him a ride on the horse. The child said his hands and feet were numb and couldn’t ride a horse, so Tang Monk asked Sun Wukong to carry him. Sun Wukong, with his fiery eyes, saw that the child was not a good person and carried him silently. As they walked, he suddenly threw the child onto a large rock. The child was quite clever and immediately leaped into the air, used an evil spell, and summoned a whirlwind to snatch Tang Monk away.
