It was recorded and compiled by Tang Degang, later translated and annotated by Tang Degang, and published by Biographical Literature Publishing House in Taiwan in 1986. In 1993, a simplified Chinese version was published by East China Normal University Press. During the compilation process, some of Hu Shih's works and research findings were incorporated.
