Features: Today marks the 60th anniversary of the victory in the Anti-Japanese War. The author has compiled this book by summarizing the photographs collected over the years, hoping to provide an emotional reflection on the national holy war that ended 60 years ago and to express boundless reverence for the predecessors who sacrificed their lives for their families and the nation—because of their courage in facing hardships and their responsibility in awakening the nation, we are able to continue moving forward on a strong foundation today. It should be noted that this book is not a complete record of Anti-Japanese War images; it primarily reflects the experiences of lower-ranking soldiers and common people during the war. Also, since photographs preserve only fleeting moments, the author has abandoned the past practice of organizing chapters by chronological events and instead divides them by scenes, attempting to weave together the small figures and small scenes into the great tide of history, flowing into the blood of you and me today.
