Logistics system planning and design

Author: Li Anhua

Brief Introduction:
A logistics system is a system with a large temporal and geographical span, and at the same time, it is a complex system containing numerous elements. In the operation of modern logistics systems, how to enable the system to provide high-quality logistics services efficiently and at low cost for users is a concern for most logistics enterprises. Under this premise, optimizing the logistics system or optimizing its design from the beginning can minimize such problems in later operations. System planning plays a very important role in this regard.
As a textbook for higher vocational education, this course considers the learning objectives and career prospects of students when selecting content, targeting the practical roles it can play in actual work by combining the content specifically to suit the learning and application of higher vocational students. As a textbook for higher vocational education, this course considers the learning objectives and career prospects of students when selecting content, targeting the practical roles it can play in actual work by combining the content specifically to suit the learning and application of higher vocational students.
This book focuses on reflecting the content of logistics planning. It does not delve deeply into theoretical issues, but mostly discusses knowledge and techniques that will be applied or can be applied in actual work. The book consists of seven chapters. The first chapter introduces relevant concepts of logistics systems, describing their functions, classifications, and dynamic principles, which serve as the foundation for system planning and design. The second chapter covers the basic theories and related methods of logistics system planning and design. The third chapter elaborates on the planning methods and relevant technologies at the strategic level for logistics enterprises, discussing the role, methods, and application prospects of system strategic planning. The fourth chapter is a relatively important part of system planning and design, focusing on location problems commonly encountered in logistics systems and providing solutions for the methods and applications in location selection. The fifth chapter introduces the basic concepts and relevant foundational knowledge of logistics park planning and design, preparing the knowledge base for the next chapter. The sixth chapter describes the process of logistics park planning and design, with a focus on the planning and design of several important subsystems of logistics parks, which is designed to meet the application needs of the current talent market for higher vocational students. The planning and design methods for these subsystems are some of the frequently used methods and technologies in recent years. The seventh chapter discusses the planning and design methods of logistics distribution centers. In logistics enterprises, the establishment and operation of logistics distribution centers are very important and represent a very common model. This chapter provides a certain amount of discussion on the systematic planning methods for distribution centers.
