Features: This series of textbooks was written by primary, secondary, and high school teachers from Jiangsu Province and Jin Tan City who are engaged in training students for mathematical competitions. The authors include doctoral supervisors, professors, distinguished teachers, principals, curriculum developers, and coaches for the Hua Cup competition. It provides systematic and comprehensive training for various mathematical competitions, enhancing students' mathematical abilities from an early age. The series is highly targeted and practical, especially suitable for the Hua Cup competition. This textbook can be used for classroom teaching in math interest schools and various Olympic schools. Each volume is designed for one grade level. Each volume is divided into two parts, corresponding to the two semesters. Each part contains approximately 15 lessons, with at least 6 problems per lesson, suitable for 100-minute teaching sessions. The content progresses from simple to complex, gradually aligning with students' age characteristics and knowledge structure. Each lesson is accompanied by a certain number of exercises, all with detailed solutions, available for teachers and parents who are able to provide tutoring.
Volumes 1 and 2 are intended for lower primary school students, aiming to cultivate their interest and intuition in mathematics. These volumes are richly illustrated, transitioning naturally from visual elements to mathematical language and textual descriptions. Volumes 3, 4, and 5 focus on building a solid foundation and broadening students' perspectives, gradually aligning with the requirements of the Hua Cup competition. Volumes 6 and 7 are fully focused on mathematical competitions, equivalent to the sprint phase of the competition, featuring more challenging problems. Additionally, several sets of comprehensive exercises are compiled for intensive training before the competition, available for coaches of competitive teams. Volumes 8, 9, and 10 are aligned with the current junior high school mathematics curriculum, targeting both the junior high school mathematics Olympic competition and entrance exams for key high schools in various provinces and cities. Volumes 11, 12, and 13 are designed to match the current high school mathematics curriculum, targeting both the high school mathematics Olympic competition and the national college entrance examination (Gaokao). These volumes combine difficulty levels, integrating competition preparation with Gaokao studies, making them highly practical.
Furthermore, each volume is interconnected yet self-contained, with slight overlaps in content. This spiral teaching approach is highly beneficial for students' learning.
