Features: Ancient Huizhou is a land with a magical charm. The rivers and mountains are beautiful, with mountains winding around the waters, resembling the Peach Blossom Spring. However, its geographical location is not superior, with mountains and earth barriers separating it, lacking the advantage of coastal access and boat travel. The region has many mountains but few fertile fields, with scarce productive resources. Nevertheless, due to the influx of Central Plains migrants, the Central Plains culture was integrated into Huizhou early on. The people of Huizhou demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit of diligence, resilience, and hard work, known as the "Huizhou Camel" spirit and the "Jixi Ox" spirit. They rose to prominence during the Southern Song Dynasty, developed in the Yuan Dynasty, and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, achieving a highly integrated and coordinated development in politics, economy, society, culture, education, and science and technology. Huizhou culture is profound, extensive, and profound, with a long tradition. As one of the representatives of Neo-Confucianism, Zhu Xi had a deep connection with Huizhou, as it is said, "The origins of the Way of Learning are long-standing in Xin'an." Moreover, since the Tang Dynasty, the Confucianism in Huizhou has flourished, and folk education has been highly developed. It not only provided feudal orthodox cultural education to learners but also emphasized the education of mathematics, medicine, and skills. Thus, it fostered the spirit of learning among the people of Huizhou, improved their overall quality, and laid the intrinsic foundation for the formation and innovation of Huizhou culture.
